Oleg Fishelev is a Russian entrepreneur and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Unimatic Group of Companies, which specializes in engineering, supply, and maintenance of metalworking machinery, as well as in the implementation of digital technologies and business process automation.
Education
Oleg Fishelev graduated from Ural Federal University (UrFU) with a degree in Economics and Management in Mechanical Engineering. His academic achievements were further bolstered in 2018 when he completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, where he deepened his expertise in business management and strategy.
Career
Upon completing his studies at UrFU, Oleg joined Unimatic, the company founded by his father, Igor Fishelev. He began his career by immersing himself in various facets of the company’s operations, which allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and its production processes. He soon advanced to the position of Deputy General Director, focusing on the integration of digital technologies and the automation of business processes, which significantly enhanced the company’s efficiency.
In 2018, Oleg became the owner of the Unimatic Group of Companies and continued to drive its development. Under his strategic leadership, the company not only maintained its market position but also experienced substantial growth. Starting in 2021, Unimatic has been actively pursuing import substitution by developing localized CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. In response to geopolitical shifts in 2022, the company ceased collaborations with European and Japanese partners, shifting its focus to the Chinese market. This strategic pivot led to the establishment of a subsidiary in China, Dalian Unimatic Trading Co. Ltd (DUT).
Today, Unimatic is a leading importer of machinery from China and continues to spearhead innovation in the mechanical engineering sector.
In his free time Oleg is passionate about developing computer games using Unreal Engine.
